Real Estate Property in Greece

There are two categories of real estate property in Greece: those called outside building plans and on the other hand within building plans.

The first category is divided into: i) agricultural land and ii) land allotted by a lot. The latter concerns the farmers without any land so that they can be resettled.

Land which is inherently caltivated and contributes to the agricultural production is defines as an agricultural land.

The other category, consist of grounds called “building sites” , either they belong to an area with an approved street plan or without it.

Greek law gives the right for the construction of the buildings in real estates non belonging to city plans. The use and the type of buildings allow their construction up to 4.000 m2 and above.

  Finding the right real estate

Businesses, investors or individual should apply to a real estate agent,  in order to search for the best real estate for them. The fee of the Greek estate agent is worth 2% of the purchase price.
