Permit Categories:

1. Highly Skilled Workers (E.1)

• Salary: ≥ 1.6x average Greek wage (~€30,000/year)
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree + 5 years experience OR Master’s/Ph.D.
• Duration: 2 years (renewable).
• Processing: ~30 days (fast‑track)

2. Seasonal Workers (E.5)

• Sectors: Agriculture, tourism, fishing (max. 9 months/year)
• Employer must prove shortage via Joint Ministerial Decision.
• Duration: 9 months/year, renewable for up to 5 years

3. Intra‑Company Transfers (E.4)

• Min. 1 year of experience with parent company required.
• Role: Executive/manager or specialized staff.
• Duration: 3 years (non‑renewable)

4. Investors/Entrepreneurs (E.6)

• Investment: €250,000 or create 10 jobs.
• Duration: 2 years, renewable.

5. Freelancers/Digital Nomads (E.3)

• Income requirement: €3,500+/month (€4,200+ for dependents)
• Health insurance required.
• Duration: 2 years (renewable)
